Susan B. Church is a trial and appellate attorney focusing mainly on immigration law and criminal defense. She served for three years as a trial attorney for the New Hampshire Public Defenders Office and worked as an associate attorney at Salsberg & Schneider law firm from September of 1998 until November of 2005, where she specialized in immigration and nationality law.

In November 2005, Attorney Church left Salsberg & Schneider to establish Demissie & Church with her current partner, Attorney Derege Demissie.

Effectively combining her experience in immigration and criminal defense laws, Susan advocates for immigrants with criminal convictions facing deportation and immigrants seeking immigration benefits in the United States.

In 2001, Susan received the "Detention Panel Attorney of the Year" award from the Political Asylum Immigrant Representation project. She is also a frequent lecturer at Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education programs and has appeared as a guest commentator on national television and radio.
